I am here to open a world of Planets!!!   The known planets can be divided into 2 groups;   The four planets closest to the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars, are called the terrestrial planets. The term Earth is Latin for land, and these planets are known as terrestrial planets because they are made of hard solid rock.     The other four planets far from the Sun are Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus, known as the "Jupiter planets". Jupiter planets are much larger than terrestrial planets, lacking a metallic core and hard surface.
